All's Whale That Ends Whale

Alien Invaders

Imagine what would happen if an animal is introduced to a new environment with few or no predators. This is exactly what happened with the Lionfish off the East Coast of the United States. The Lionfish was both purposely discarded into the ocean by unsatisfied pet owners and accidentally released after Hurricane Andrew destroyed an aquarium. It has flourished to the point that great measures need to be taken to keep its population at bay. Host Jeff Corwin teams up with Georgia Aquarium and NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, as together they set out to capture, study, and control this invasive species.
