Farscape was cancelled during production of its fourth series and the planned fifth series was never made. Following a concerted campaign by fans following the cancellation, The Jim Henson Company was able to attain the rights to the program and produced a 2-part television movie / miniseries that attempted to wrap up the unfinished storylines.
