I agree with gspgreases-- Carrie definitely could've done better.
Doug not only lucked out by having an attractive wife, but also . . . despite the "ballbreaker" Carrie was made out to be, and the fear that Doug had of her, Carrie, despite all her yelling and threats, ended up doing what Doug wanted most of the time.
She was mostly bark with little bite.
I'm not saying that's a bad thing, I'm just saying.

I don't think Carrie was bad at all. Shes kinda like Deborah from everybody loves Raymond. Both ask for simple things and there husbands find ways to screw things up.
