I love this show but I also kind of hate it at times... this has to do with the high "ick" factor, which for me includes the excessive nudity, the sometimes too realistic sex scenes and some of these characters nasty habits and bad fashion choices. Still, it can be really funny and smart and interesting... so I watch.
Recently I also started watching the after show interviews which has helped me to understand LD's intentions and reasons behind some of her choices. She also seems nothing like Hannah and that is good because I find Hannah hard to like. I have learned from her interviews, that this is intentional on her part. She really is a smart and thoughtful young woman.
I will miss this show when it's gone, in many ways it is ground breaking. It also makes me very happy I'm not in my 20s anymore. I think this is the last season.. but not 100% sure about that?

Yes, this is the final season. I will be sad to see it go, but the show has had a good run. Girls is a satire on what it's like being in your 20s these days. I turned 30 after last season, and I watch it now thinking how happy I am to be past my 20s. Lol!

I agree. But then, these characters are not meant to be likeable and I'm fine with that. Interesting is better than nice.
Regarding Hannah's nudity, I think many people miss the point: LD is in some ways a comic actor (Girls is a dramedy after all), and comedy can be very physical. The way LD shows her body is sometimes hilarious - s06e01 is a good example. The scene where she's naked under the suit and the one where she sunbathes her, erm, private parts Shailene Woodley-style were very funny to me. I don't think she does that just because she's an exhibitionist, like some people seem to think.

That is a great point, I had not looked at it that way but this makes so much sense. I will just add that I was not speaking of just Hannah's nudity but all of it... I actually find Adam and Jessa far more "icky" for some reason. I will miss it too and yes interesting is better than nice!
