人称之为最后的名侦探，结城新十郎与搭档因果，两人是专门破解谜团及找出真相的侦探双人组。从抽丝剥解找出杀害有钱人家的凶嫌、到证实死于诅咒之下的男人并非因诅咒而死等事件，新十郎与因果两人的搭档下，没有解不开的谜团。

其实，总是爱面子逞强，往往事与愿违的场面也比较多。即便如此，两人还是如同被吸引着去迎面解决所发生的事件。

戰後，日本國內政府及財政動盪不安、人心惶惶，偵探職業正值沒落，被稱為「無冠之王」的海勝麟六，掌握有海量的通訊設備與情報，並且可以迅速的整理龐大的訊息作出推理分析，僅憑此就解決了相當數量的難題事件。

以「最後的名偵探」自稱的結城新十郎與其助手因果，實際上挖掘出了事件的真相，事後海勝麟六卻以顧全大局為考慮發表不同的結論，世人以此嘲諷新十郎為「戰敗偵探」。而此同時，各式各樣的事件正在這時局不安的社會接連不斷發生，結城新十郎與因果將挑戰並解決這些曲折又奇妙的事件。

Un-Go is set in a war-torn Tokyo, in a near-future Japan. In response to Japan sending their military abroad as peacekeeping forces, terrorists launched multiple attacks on Japan, killing many people and destroying much of its cityscapes. Some time after the war receded to a period of uneasy peace, the Japanese Parliament passed the "Information Privacy and Protection Act", which gives the Japanese government control over the Internet. Detective Shinjuurou Yuuki and his strange partner Inga make a living in solving crimes and exposing human souls, all influenced in some way by the dystopian backdrop.

Duo connu de détectives, Yuuki Shinjurou et Inga ne se lassent pas de résoudre des énigmes. L'un est surnommé « Le Dernier Grand Détective », notamment grâce à son intelligence. L'autre ne fait que l'aider dans ses réflexions.

Ils n'ont jamais perdu face aux différents mystères. C'est ce qu'ils souhaiteraient croire et faire croire aux autres, néanmoins rien de tout cela n'est vrai… En tout cas, ce qui est certain, c'est qu'ils ont souvent affaire à des surprises au cours de leurs enquêtes !

Rie, die Tochter des bekannten Detektivs Rinroku Kaishou, hat schon viel über einen Detektiv gehört, der unter dem Namen „The Defeated Detective“ bekannt ist. Auf einer Feier läuft ihr eben dieser in Person über den Weg. Sein richtiger Name ist Shinjuro Yuki, ein Ausnahmetalent seines Faches. In seiner Begleitung befindet sich der mysteriöse Inga, der sich in eine erwachsene Frau verwandeln kann. Als diese hat er die Fähigkeit, Menschen dazu zu bringen, die Wahrheit zu sagen.

Shinjurou Yuuki, "l'ultimo Grande Detective" in una Tokyo post-bellica, è considerato dall'opinione pubblica non più di un detective fallito per il suo lavoro investigativo classico che coinvolge il ragionamento deduttivo che non può competere con la tecnologia moderna. Decorrendo na Era Meiji, Un-Go conta a história de um detective chamado Yuki Shinjuro, famoso por resolver alguns incidentes que rondam seu círculo de amizades. Yuki em uma de suas buscas por mistérios acaba por encontrar um garoto chamado Inga, que parece ter um estranho "dom" de encontrar com muita facilidade tais casos. Agora os dois trabalharão juntos para resolver tais acontecimentos, mesmo com personalidades totalmente distintas.

UN-GO, conta a historia de um detetive chamado Yuuki Shinjuurou, famoso por resolver alguns incidentes que rondam seu círculo de amizades. La historia de Un-Go se centra en Shinjuro e Inga y en cómo trabajan juntos para resolver misterios en un futuro cercano. La serie está basada en la obra de Ango Sakaguchi, un novelista japonés de los años 50.
