Why only 100 episodes in Season 7

Dahoam is Dahoam seasons (Staffel) are split (by BR) into 200-episode blocks. Why is season 7 only one hundred? Many later seasons seem to also be of differing sizes.

Based on the official website, season 7 has only 100 episodes (going from 1201 to 1300). For the season 8, there are only 140 episodes (going from 1301 to 1440), and so on...

Thanks. I found some episode lists at br.de to confirm what you said. So un-German to break the established pattern .
