Diskuter X-Files: Strengt Fortroligt

Because that was a terrible episode and an incredibly weak way to close the show, especially if they are not going to have another season.

There is talk of Season 12 but, yes, if it happens it will be without Gillian Anderson at this point. That was announced before this season even aired. And this episode was not labeled as the SERIES finale.

I was extremely disappointed in the season finale. Too many things left unanswered. Why in the blue hell and how in the blue hell could Scully be pregnant again especially if Gillian isn't coming back???????????

Is Skinner really dead? Is Cigarette Smoking Man really dead? William is still out there.......

Two words, IT SUCKED!

Yeah, the ending did. What was your favorite of the season? I think mine is the episode about artificial intelligence and how Mulder and Scully didn't barely speak a word for the whole episode.

I am not a big fan of this season as a whole. I never liked the 'monster of the week' episodes. My preferences are for the episodes that dealt with the main focus of the series: Aliens.

My fav of this season: 'The Lost Art of Forehead Sweat'

Funniest parts were David's huge head on the child's body, it was a Mulder bobblehead! And when he flung himself on the ground and threw a hissy fit.

Worst: Tie between 'Nothing Lasts Forever' & 'My Struggle IV'

These would be in the top 4 or 5 of the worst of the whole series along with 'Home' & the 'Tooms' episodes.

Well...I think it is almost certain this is just a season finale. Of course since Disney bought Fox and now owns the show, there are new people at corporate making decisions on the show's future. Chris Carter pretty much said he sees the show coming back, in some form at some time. So I think we will see a continuation of the show. I hope so anyway. The show went on for a while without David Duchovny, and I didn't think it would really fly without him in the mix. But I have to say, I think the fans want to see Scully in the show. Hopefully they can entice her to return. The X-Files is really Mulder and Scully. We want to see them both, and see the interaction between them.

CSM has 'died' before and come back. He has access to alien science and apparently has incorporated it into his own biology, allowing him to regenerate and come back from what should have been his death. So even though Mulder shot him several times and then pushed him into the ocean, I think he will return. He was floating on his back the last we saw him. So presumably he didn't drown.

Skinner could have avoided death somehow, and if the show returns I predict he will be back, perhaps in Rehab or something. He has been in every season and all movies. He is a necessary part of the show I think. Certainly if Scully is not coming back, they need everyone else back they can get back.

And yes, William has what everyone wants: immortality. So he will be back.

I wasn't a huge fan of this season, but I thought the ending was the best they could do with what had come before. Much less silly than the s.10 ending.

I really doubt the series is gonna end with this episode.

One of the many things I find absolutely ridiculous is how they handled both Miller and Einstein.

So in Season 10 they were meant to replace both Mulder and Scully in the near future yet in Season 11 they only got a very small cameo in the first episode.

Pathetic!

I didn't know about the plans to have Miller and Einstein replace Mulder and Scully. So probably everything I said above is wrong. LOL. Skinner is probably really dead, William probably won't come back, and neither will Mulder or Scully, unless to help segue the show to the new duo.

I really doubt Skinner is dead. It was way too awkward what happened to Skinner.

Yeah, it would be a good idea to keep Skinner, especially if they are getting rid of Mulder and Scully. They need to have some kind of continuity with the first 11 seasons, and Skinner has been in all of them.

You guys keep saying no Mulder or Scully next season. Yes, I know Gillian Anderson isn't coming back but, unless I've missed it, I've seen nothing about David Duchovny not coming back. It's got nowhere to go if neither Mulder or Scully isn't in it. And I'm not into "Bizarro World" Miller and Einstein.

Gillian Anderson may not get back as Dana Scully (for now) but David Duchovny confirmed he might be back as Fox Mulder.

I disliked this season as a whole. Still, I'll take anything X Files and GA and DD. My favorite eps always are the alien mytharc,
