So she was a walk in who died. First it doesn't explain why they keep saying she was alive. Second if she was dead how was that better for her?

It was better for her to be dead because she was experimented on, and then was violated by a pedophile. I know it is confusing but that is what I understand.
And yes, the police recovered all the bodies of the children from that pedophile's property.
