Tried to like this

but it just feels like a romance novel on film. Also, once they killed the dog -- who was remarkably well trained up until he wasn't -- was hard to take. Should I stick with it? Not sure. I got about an hour into the miniseries on Shout Factory but it's available on a number of free streamers.

Yeah, it wasn't very good. That so much important dialogue at key moments was left out of a nearly 3 hour film is unforgivable. Some nice shots but unfortunately many scenes lacked the correct atmosphere. What a waste of Sutherland and Hurt. 5/10
