All the episodes in season 1 are split. In every source I can find all episodes are considered one with two parts.
So s01e01 should be both "Daniel's Birthday" and "Daniel's Picnic" and s01e02 should be "Daniel Visits School" and "Daniel Visits the Doctor" etc
I'm willing to fix, but everything is locked. Is there a way to unlock or does the entire first season need to be deleted and recreated?

The segments should be added as individual episodes, as it is explained in the TV Bible: https://themoviedb.org/bible/tv/59f743289251416e71000037

This doesn't make sense tho since all streaming services (Amazon and PBS Kids) and the DVDs all treat them as a single episode. All wikis and and the official PBS Kids website also treat them as a single episode.
Calling them separate episodes messes with streaming metadata and my own ripped media center data.

I'd like reopen this for discussion.
Some shows it's fine to split as the individual segments are unique and not tied together. However in the case of Daniel Tiger this is not true.
Each episode covers a distinct theme to learn and it's actually split into the two segments to teach the theme. The start of each episode also references what the two segments are about. The first segment then introduces the theme in a simple and understandable way. The second segment then expands on the theme.
For example the very first episode of the series the theme is about disappointment. Segment 1 (Daniel's Birthday) introduces the theme by having his cake get ruined and teaches a small theme song "When something seems bad, turn it around, and find something good." Then in segment 2 (Daniel's Picnic) they show several new examples of things that go wrong and each time they sing the theme song and explain how to overcome the disappointment.
These should be seen as a single cohesive episode, which as the above user pointed out is how all official information on the show indicates it is.

@alanbarber The pairs are sometimes aired/released together, and other times they're split.

Can you give an example of a place where the episodes are split? I have been checking everywhere and cannot find any media in which they are split.

I don't have examples for this specific show, but our rule is general and apply to all cartoon and anime shows were the episodes are made with multiple segments.
For example, the segments of the original episodes of the Antom Ant Show have all been released separately when the included series have been later released separately.

They will never give you an example because it never happens in modern era of streaming. The TV Bible in this regard is a cancerous relic.

It's worth noting as well, that all the running times are hilariously wrong because splitting the episodes is wrong.
