I agree. This show is just awesome! And yes, it was cruel to have it end there for the week. I just sat there staring at the entryway to the basement with them and was like, "OMG! That's it! That's the way to the basement!" and I couldn't stop staring, lol.

I know people are theorizing that her parents were in on whatever was done to her, but I don't see it. At least, not where the mom is concerned. That woman only loved Phoebe and seemed to hate Cora. A mother telling her daughter that it's her fault her sister is sick? Always blaming her when something went wrong and Phoebe coincidentally had an attack? That's not a mother who loves her child.

But MAYBE I could see the father being part of it IF it's out of concern for Cora. He seemed to still care about her. Maybe he wanted to have something done to make Cora want to leave home and not come back. Not because he blames her for anything but because perhaps it's the only way he can see for her to become independent and start living her life for herself and not for her mother and sister.

Just an idea.
