I'm in the U.S so I haven't seen season 7 yet but it's all over the internet that Barbara died. I also read someone say they wish Trixie would come back. Where did Trixie go? I guess Sister Mary Cynthia isn't coming back and I thought Nurse Patsy was supposed to come back but I guess she's gone too. I also thought that Chummy was coming back at some point but I gave up on that 3 seasons ago. What is it about this show? It's like a revolving door.

I don't know any of these things - I hope most are not true! I am rewatching some old episodes (Barbra and Tom are newly engaged) I seriously hope they don't kill her off!
I know the actress who plays Sister Mary Cynthia has another show (I tried it and didn't like it) so maybe that is why she is still away??

If you haven't seen series 7 yet, don't read this.
Charlotte Ritchie (Nurse Barbara Hereward) didn't want to get complacent in the same role and so decided to leave the show to pursue other projects (acting roles).

It's a pity they 'killed' off the character, instead of sending her away to convalesce.
Helen George (Nurse Beatrix "Trixie" Franklin) is on maternity leave.
Her character Trixie stayed behind in South Africa running the mission hospital, until doctor Myra recovered from her illness.
She returns in series 7, but because of personal problems (relationship, alcoholism) Trixie has to take a six months' leave of absence.

I am only on season 5, but catching up. I stopped watching a few years ago.
