What would you rate the episode out of ten?

8/10

A little underwhelming and slow-moving. I just expected more intensity.

Everything up to the last 3 minutes = 9/10 Including the last 3 minutes = 6/10. They should have let it end. It would have been a fantastic way to wrap things up. Now I'm afraid we are going to get an AfterMASH version of OUAT.

I agree, this would have been a fantastic ending, everyone getting their happy endings, now we're just back to the beginning with Henry in Emma's role. ++EYE ROLL++

Eight. The resolution, or final 5 minutes, was magical. Loved Robin's arrow inviting Regina on another adventure. The dwarfs bowing to Regina's office, Queen without the evil adjective. The montage of all the magic realms, including Wonderland. Even the cliff hangar, in Seattle, when they go back full circle only this time it's Henry at the door (who doesn't look at all like Henry by the way, even 7 years older). "I don't have a daughter." Mirroring Emma's "I don't have a son."

Some qualms. A huge missed opportunity to give Zelena something to do. The perfect time to do it would have been when the evil magic was closing in. They brought Evil Queen back. I really wanted to see Zelena and Regina, the rival sisters, fighting side by side. Together, holding back the dark magic to buy time. That would have been far better than the silliness of two Evil Queens (yes, I know it was Regina dressed as Evil Queen but still).

Another qualm was the beanstalk bit. It seemed out of place and was a red herring. Why wasn't that realm affected? Ultimately it was when the beanstalk collapsed. But the magic bean, _the solution for the Final Battle? _ It didn't amount to a hill of beans in my opinion and what was it supposed to do anyway?

Agree with others that this would have been the perfect series finale. But hey, the fans don't want to let it go, and neither does Disney/ABC if it still brings in the ratings. It's the perfect marketing tool for cementing the Disney brand to new generations. Their classic library.

I loved it it was so intense

Im still torn over season 7 one side of me says this would have been a awsome series finale with almost everything wrapped up nicely The whole episode including older henry 7/10

While the other side of me is excited to see what happened in the 12 year gap and the new mystery who is Lucy mother

Im torn im angry at the same time cant wait for season 7

I'm starting to have a different perspective on Season 7 than I've had so far. At first I felt very cynical about how the show would be not having Emma, The Charmings, and Belle around, but I think their absence opens up a lot of potential to go in different directions. I'm not sure what they are going to do with Regina, Hook and Rumple in Season 7 in light of the flashforward scenario, but I'm actually starting to get curious to find out.

I think they will be older versions of themselves. I assume part of the need for Henry is because each of them (Hook, Regina and Rumple) will be without significant others and it's back to helping them find a happy ending/beginning. I really feel like this will be a re-hash of original series with genders reversed and setting reversed.

I hope I am wrong, though.

This is just my opinion. I liked most of the characters and loved two. The most entertaining from all the posts I've read on IMDB (before they shuttled it) were Gold and Regina. Mostly because they had polar opposite dual personalities. Rumple / Gold ... Evil Queen / Regina. Another reason? They are great actors with incredible charisma. Hook came in third for me. (sorry ladies) "Guy-liner" Who can resist a swashbuckling pirate who did bad things then was brought into line by a woman? Loved Hook. Other than the Black Fairy, who was so diabolical in her duplicity you couldn't keep your eyes off her (for more reasons than one), the rest were good but more bland in comparison. Zelena came on strong in the end but they wasted her potential in the finale. She was just ... there.

So adult Henry looks to have potential, more razzle dazzle. The challenge for the new season will be plot. The creators hinted it will be about belief. But that is so similar to the Emma plot in the finale. Hard to get more evil than Black Fairy. They are running out of baddies. My hope is they go on location to other cities, like the NYC plot. New places to go and see. Take a page from Doctor Who.

I'm actually...excited for a Season 7...?

When the news first came out, I did not want it. After all, the majority of the main cast is leaving, they've already set up the major villain, breached out onto their own mythology such as the Dark One, The Savior, and they built up and ended a final battle with a satisfying end for the characters.

But...after reflecting upon it, this could potentially be a great idea to send the series into a new direction. Although I'll miss everybody, I think that if you perceive it as a new show entirely, it turns it into a more bright future for the series. It has the potential to be the best, or the worst yet. At least Andrew J. West will be a stronger Henry than Jared Gilmore, and Lana Parilla and Robert Carlyle are staying.

I would have been fine with Charming, Snow, and Zelena leaving. They should've died in the finale with Emma. But...if they explain it well...it could turn out good.

It would have been the perfect ending. For a moment I event thought we get to see Malifiscent and her daughter (the dragon in the clouds) - but they couldn´t let it go...

I just hope they don´t mess up the Happy Endings we got - they don´t have to go back to Storybrook.

Anyway. Of course I´ll watch Season 7 and just hope for the best.

I feel the same way. I watched the finale last night and thought it would have been a fantastic series finale, but I am more optimistic for Season 7 than I have been in weeks past. Like you, I have decided to look at it as a different show, and having Robert, Lana, and Colin around will just add to it. I feel like they will mostly be supporting the storylines for the new cast, but we'll see. I'm just glad Emma didn't die, which was what I was fearing would happen. I will miss this cast, but I'm hopeful for the new cast as well.

Exactly what I thought, the season finale would have been a great series finale. Loved the scenes between Regina and her evil half. The Black Fairy- I have never been so happy to see someone crumble to dust.

I agree. I give it 8/10 also.

I agree, thought at times it was underwhelming and dragged out scenes too long, I still liked it,

but -

"You can't always get what you want."- said by Rumple to Gold

I have never been so happy to see someone crumble to dust.

Yeah but she didn't suffer enough considering all the extensive pain and suffering Black Fairy inflicted. I felt the same way when the Emperor died in Star Wars. It was just like POOF. Buh-bye. Perhaps this was because it would make Gold look like a torturer. You could have set it up where once he triggered her demise, it wasn't up to him, but Light Magic to determine "the price she would pay" for all her darkness. As she painfully evaporates, a montage of all the horrible things she said and did so she realizes it. At the very end, she gets a conscience, which makes her pain all the worse. Her last words to Gold ... "I'm sorry."

I'd give it a solid 8. In my opinion it was a wrap, but since there's going to be another season, I think it is a great idea to make it fresh with new actors, maybe a new setting, hopefully a whole different plot and so on. Storybook and the realms feels old and worn out so I wouldn't mind if they would shake it up a bit.

I knew it wasn't so but the very first moment I saw Lucy, I thought of Lilo. She's very cute :)
