ادور احداث المسلسل حول هان سانغ يون هاجرة إلى أستراليا مع عائلتها عندما كانت صغيرة و بعد سنوات ، أكملت دراستها في مجال القانون و تخطط لزواج من صديقها الأمريكي لكن والدها يعارض بقوة هذا الأمر و يحاول هو و عائلة صديقه تزويجها لـ كيم يو جون إبن صديقه الوحيد سانغ يون تتفق مع والدها على الذهاب إلى كوريا و القيام برغبته لمدة سنة و تبدأ الصراعات المتتالية لسانغ يون و يو جون مع عائلتيهما مما يجعلهما يبتكران خطة تسمح لهما بتفادي زواجهم الوشيك

留学的女律师韩尚恩（柳真饰）有结婚的对象，因为是外国人的缘故遭到了父亲的反对。尚恩到澳大利亚移民，并从法学院毕业后成为律师，为了结婚而把美国律师男友Alex带回家中。她的父亲韩京泰是个固执己见的韩国人，坚决反对二人的婚事，并说尚恩的未婚夫在韩国，让她回国见一面再作决定。尚恩只好回到韩国，却与未婚夫金如俊（奇太映饰）在机场大吵起来。 如俊对结婚一点也不感兴趣，只顾埋头工作，而且金如俊身边还有对他单相思的沈惠琳。

Han Sang-eun immigrated to Australia with her family at a young age. After graduating from law school, she announces her plans to marry her American boyfriend Alex, a fellow attorney. But her father is strongly opposed to the match, because he has his heart set on her marrying Kim Yeo-joon, the son of his best friend who lives back in Korea. He orders her to meet the bachelor that they picked out for her before she goes ahead and marries Alex. Sang-eun finds herself exiled to Korea, where she reluctantly teams up with Yeo-joon, who is focused on his career and equally uninterested in marriage, to devise a plan that will allow them to avoid their impending wedlock.

La famille de Han Sang Eun (Eugene) a émigré en Australie lorsqu'elle était enfant. Après avoir terminé ses études en droit en Amérique, Sang Eun veut épouser son petit-ami américain, Alex. Évidemment, son père est absolument contre : une Coréenne ne peut pas épouser un étranger ! Il lui propose alors un marché : elle doit revenir un an en Corée et, peut-être, acceptera-t-il qu'elle épouse Alex. Sang Eun se retrouve alors exilée en Corée, chez le meilleur ami de son père, où elle rencontre Yeo Joon. Kim Yeo Joon (Ki Tae Young) est médecin. A cause de rumeurs le disant homosexuel, son père le pousse à accepter un mariage arrangé avec une fille qui n'est autre que Sang Eun. Ne pouvant pas se supporter, tous les deux s'opposent fortement à ce mariage. Mais ils n'auront pas d'autre choix que de faire équipe afin d'échapper à ce mariage...
