Sorry, but she's entitled to jack shit. What qualifies her to be managing partner? Particularly considering she's going through what appears to be a midlife crisis.

Harvey is managing partner. She's now a senior partner.

She's got every right to be something more than a secretary that's for sure. What Harvey said in the bathroom is so true, Donna is the glue that holds that firm together. I swear she's got a sixth sense.

Doesn't mean she's any kind of stable.. she's been behaving erratically to say the least. But maybe it won't bite them in the ass.. maybe.

I think the writers are putting Donna at the table for a reason. They wouldn't have the guts to break her down now since she's been the iron lady that everyone depends on. And what other iron lady just left the building? Yup, Jessica. So now they just replaced her with Donna. There has to be one really strong female character in the show that can squeeze those waxed cojones, it wouldn't be PC enough otherwise.

I just watched the episode, and I am on the fence about Donna. But she did up the game by putting in 500k worth of money to the firm. So she has game to play.
What people didn't notice was another woman moved up also ... Rachael. She takes over the pit full of Associates. Louis takes a back seat, at least for now. She just made the bar and hasn't tried one case.

Didn't put as much in to it, as it wasn't laid out as a permanent thing. But you're correct, of course.

Donna just happen to have $5ook in her checking/saving account? Being a legal secretary must pay well.

Yeah I wondered about that too.

I've always liked the Donna character. Selfless, always willing to help, very well-connected, and always dispenses sage advice. I'm glad she's getting a seat at the table.

I haven't seen the second half of season 6. I had to find bits and pieces of S6 Ep16 on YouTube. I think the money she gave to Harvey is her advance for the Donna Personal Digital Assistant.

Didn't that end up going nowhere?

Nope. I think the money came from sound investments she heard around the office, and that old stock market tenant.
She was savvy enough to put her money toward a nestegg, and had it when the opportunity arrived.
She always had other's backs. She has her's as well.

This. Donna always has a plan. After six seasons we know that she is a chess player. She doesn't strike me as a woman who leads an excessive life either, those clothes are probably expensive but a necessity when working at the firm. She totally rocks those dresses though, and knows it too.
