Bay must testify in Emmett's custody case, and Emmett's actions threaten to end their relationship. Elsewhere, a nervous Daphne prepares for a basketball tournament between her current and former teams; and Kathryn has a meeting with a New York editor.

John and Kathryn invite Alex to a family dinner, but Bay leaves during the meal to answer Zarra's plea for help. Meanwhile, a coworker asks Daphne to lie to Jeff; Toby grows closer with Nikki; and Regina reaches out to Patrick.

The Carlton students learn the outcome of their protest. Meanwhile, John's campaign concludes abruptly; Emmett contemplates telling Bay about Daphne and Noah's kiss; Lana's labor begins; and an inebriated Regina turns up at Angelo's door.

Regina returns from rehab early to spend time with Daphne, who has bonded with her biological parents while Regina was away. Meanwhile, Bay runs into Ty; Travis proves to be a bad influence on Emmett; and Kathryn and Nikki don't see eye to eye.

The news about Regina moving out from the guest house is a big discovery on its own, but it’s definitely not the only one.
