Discuss Gunsmoke

It was a two part ep. It was narrated in the opening by William Conrad (Canon). This was very interesting as it is very well known that Conrad was the radio version of Marshall Dillon but seemed like a deli-counter dwelling type if seen so they gave the Dillon role to a more athletic fine actor (Arness of course). Just about nobody ever mentions Conrad actually also narrating a TV episode of Gunsmoke however.
The other reason it was so interesting as an ep is because Conrad's narration talks about a real life story of the old West. This is very intriguing as Gunsmoke at times did not seem that realistic especially in the late 60's/early 70's. It felt at times like you could see the real life early 1970's ambiance flashing through the eps. But it turns there was more a good deal authenticity than you imagined.

PS Beautiful ladies in ep was actually also a plus!
