Cutie Honey Flash is a 1997 anime television series in the Cutie Honey franchise. In its native Japan, the series assumed the timeslot of Sailor Stars, the final story arc of the long-running Sailor Moon anime. Employing many of the same animation staff of Sailor Stars, including animation director Miho Shimagasa, Flash features very similar character designs and fits the more traditional mold of magical girl series, aimed at the Sailor Moon demographic. The series was also broadcasted in Germany.

Honey Kisaragi est une lycéenne de l'école de jeunes filles Sainte Chapelle. Le jour de son 16e anniversaire, alors qu'elle rentre chez elle, elle découvre que son père Takeshi Kisaragi a été enlevé par le gang Panther Claw car celui-ci avait découvert un dispositif pouvant permettre la transformation du corps humain.

Le soir même, Honey Kisaragi rencontre un homme aux longs cheveux blancs qui lui donne le dit dispositif. Elle devient ainsi Cutie Honey et combat Panther Claw pour sauver son père.

Mais une nouvelle étudiante transférée, Seira Hazuki, ne lui facilitera pas la tâche...

Das Mädchen Honey Kisaragi ist die 16 Jahre alte Tochter des Wissenschaftlers Dr. Kisaragi, sie besucht ein Mädcheninternat. Zu Beginn der Serie wird Honeys Vater – welcher einen hochgeheimen "Transformer" entwickelt hat – durch die Geheimorganisation "Pantherclaw" ermordet. Diese ist hinter ebenjenem Transformer her.

Von einem geheimnisvollen Unbekannten erhält Honey dann ein Halsband, welches ihr die Verwandlung in "Cutie Honey" ermöglicht. In dieser verwandelten Form kann sie andere Gestalten annehmen und so – mit Hilfe des Privatdetektivs Seiji Hayami – gegen "Pantherclaw" kämpfen.
