ISO Haunted Castles when the girl wakes up and see the face looking at her in the corner. Saw it when I was like 7, and again 30 years later on YouTube and its as scary as I remember. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UUTYKBTr-A
ISO Monster Hunters when the rock on the side of Everest gets up an runs off. The sound effects are insanely freaky. The guy just laughs and shakes his head haga! My ass would be outta there.

How about Mr. Combover, the freakiest talking head in the Strange Visitor episode. Also the flashing Christmas lights, an old gramophone, and a bunch of freaky people in the episode of ghostly voices.

In 'The Bermuda Triangle' episode, that mysterious caller to the radio show seemed to upset a lot of people, but I can't say I was one of them, though it is still strange. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnKCCrZHlbY
The great music to this series is still highly effective, and creepy in itself!

I think it was the episode in which they are telling the alleged true story behind The Amittyville Horror. If I recall correctly a man who was being driven insane by the ghosts in the house was trying to warm himself in front of the fireplace and he saw a creepy demonic face get etched into the wall by the flames. It got even scarier for me when I began to see that face composed of the branches of a tree I could see outside my bedroom window. I continued to see it for a long time afterwards until the tree was cut I guess.

Oh my stars Butler! That scene did it for me as well. I turned that stuff off and called some friends!

The Honey Island swamp monster scream scarred me for life. In fact, that entire episode was menacing!! Also the Bermuda Triangle phone call was very disturbing to me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HkkmCuE9PX0

Yes, the Haunted Castles scene (https://youtu.be/1UUTYKBTr-A?t=300) with the green faced thing in the corner of the room truly freaked me out for YEARS after initially seeing the episode. It wasn't until about a year or so ago that I stumbled across that same episode on YouTube and as soon as I saw that face again I had a flash of the same terror that gripped me as a kid. Well done, ISO. :)

That scared me too. Didn't the girl in the story die of fright?

They were playing underwater audio recordings of Loch Ness and all you heard were these quiet, tranquil sounds. Then they played a recording of something moving past the microphone making this cacophonous noise that (as Nimoy described it) "(was) anything but tranquil". It was freaky imagining what might've been making that noise.

The Abominable Snowmen one with the guy looking at a rock that gets up and runs away.
I think it was the swamp monsters one with the old couple with the ring of fire trying to keep it away .

Everything about Amityville Horror scares me. A few years ago they showed it on television for Halloween, and I was thinking "I'm a grown up now, it's probably not even that scary anymore" So I turned it on and in the very beginning, the movie's not even on yet. Just music and they show a picture of the house and I changed the channel and started watching Law and Order reruns.

No doubt that poor old guy and his log on fire trying to protect his wife from the swamp creature.
In monster hunters: Arch Buckley calling out "come here old buck friend" kind of freaked me out back in the 90s when I saw it on A&E. mostly due to the absurdity. Still it's a great episode and he's one of the original Bigfoot hunters.
by AaronCapenBanner
Arch Buckley also said "OOK!FISH!" while holding his flashlight trying to entice Bigfoot into his camp.
'Monster Hunters' and 'Swamp Monster' are indeed effective episodes.

I agree about "Haunted Castles". The make-up on that man's face was intense! I saw it when I was young too and it gave me a few sleepless nights. It was eerie how he turned to disappear into the closet. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1UUTYKBTr-A

Creepy moment was The Bermuda Triangle episode. They were recalling how a Florida radio talk show was doing a night show on The Bermuda Triangle, when all the lines - which had been lit up- went dead. As the host went from line to line, they got to one that finally had a eerie voice on it that immediately went into a weird commentary about "The Millionth Council", and how all the missing people were safe in the 'timeless void'. The next day, several people called into the station, saying the voice had made them feel very unsettled.
