My fave episode I can think of off the top of my head (since I have it on DVD and have watched and enjoyed it a couple of times during the last few years) is "The Daughters of Cain" (1996). That's the one with the school teacher (Downton Abbey's Phyllis Logan), who has a brain tumour, enticing one of her students, who is sexually obsessed with her, to do her dirty work.
That episode (like so many in the series) is superbly done. I love Gabrielle Lloyd's performance, as Brenda Brooks, in it. And Amanda Ryan, as her daughter Kay, was absolutely gorgeous back then. (I think she looked like a young Princess Margaret.)
Btw, if you enjoy not only this series but also the others in the Morse franchise, be sure to check out the following TMDb message boards:

It's been some time since I've seen this episode. I didn't like the fact that Morse just seemed to give up, while Lewis wanted to continue the investigation looking for evidence to convict the suspects. Perhaps he also sympathized somewhat with the women?

I keep wanting to, one of these days before not much longer, re-watch this episode. Each of the three main women give terrific performances.
Oddly, I for some reason am unable to remember anything about Morse or Lewis in this, but do remember the women.
Neat trivia: This was the 2nd episode in which Dr. Laura Hobson (same character and actress in both Morse and Lewis series), portrayed by Clare Holman, appeared. She had debuted in the prior episode (which I also have), "The Way Through the Woods".

Can the eighth season be inserted?

Hi, Mediamaster.
What you're considering the 8th season actually is a series of annual specials. They're listed on TMDb under the Inspector Morse series' Specials section. (I have the DVDs of the first two listed specials.)
