Discuss The Great British Bake Off

I caught it when aired but am rewatching on Netflix.

Desserts. Ok I get why Ian was the baker to go. He didn't present a show stopper. BUT I was so upset that Nancy or Diana took his bake out of the freezer and then didn't tell him until he asked about it. Neither showed any remorse about it. It was hot out and they were dealing with ice cream. Ugh.

Ian didn't handle it well. I get it but I kind of don't blame him. I feel for him. Diana said something to him like "you have your own feeezer don't you." What difference did it make then when they took it out? Just chaps my hide.

Apparently due to an editing issue, viewers got the wrong impression. His ice cream was out of the freezer for only about a minute, and it didn't actually have an impact. The problem was in how he prepared the ice cream, so the fault was actually his; but it didn't come across that way on TV. You can find out more in the "Controversy" section of the Wikipedia article on the show.
