Discuss Sister Wives

I don't know if you guys have Instagram, but they have something called Instagram stories & I can't figure what it is but a long video. I watched Mariah make lunch which was lettuce, tomatoes & cheese. She said she was asked what she eats. But what really cracks me up is if any one of us ate like that we would weigh 100lbs. Something tells me she doesn't eat like that all the time. But at least she is trying. Maybe she should go to work for Janelle. joy

Unless money is a consideration and the circumstances are the ultra best, I can't see having a baby anywhere but a hospital, especially a first-time mom. Can you imagine how much more comfortable she would have been in a medical facility - WITH DRUGS! Also, maternal mortality is increasing in the US. In fact, I think the US rate is growing more than some 3rd world countries & I think my state is leading. I think some people are attributing it to the war on Planned Parenthood, but I don't know. But it is pretty bad that moms are dying in childbirth in the US.

I would say the war on women's reproductive rights and health in general.

Yes, that's right. I believe there's a correlation between the closing of Planned Parenthood clinics & the maternal mortality rate rising in Texas. It's easy for me to talk about good healthcare living in Dallas, but women who are in the country live many miles from any healthcare. It makes me sick. I don't want to get political but today was our primary and so many women ran for office in the state - for all positions. It was exciting to vote & it was just the primary. joy

That is encouraging news, especially in a state like Texas.

Mariah is in Chicago - she's looking at the school that accepted her - it's in Evanston, ILL. Any guesses what school it is? question

Northwestern, Loyola, DuPaul, hmmm, hard to say.

Is there any school there known for their medical department, since I think she's still pursuing something in the medical field?

She announced a month ago she was applying to MSW programs, which would mean that it is Northwestern.

I forgot that - well, isn't Northwestern considered a pretty good school? I know it's not the only school there & I don't expect Mariah to make a typical choice, but that would be a good one.

Northwestern is a top tier school. Very competetive admission.

Northwestern has one of the best Public Policy programs in the country. She sure likes expensive schools, the tuition is $43,380. Loyola, which is the number 11 MSW program in the country is $33,450.

I was thinking that she is probably looking at a small school most of us have never heard of that costs a fortune. joy
