Alex informs Nikita that Division is sending her on her first mission to kill the leader of a crime syndicate. Alex is uneasy about taking someone's life but is reassured by Nikita who insists on helping her with the kill order. Birkhoff informs Percy and Michael when he discovers the shell program that a Division mole has been using to connect to Nikita in the outside world. When the mission doesn't go as planned, Nikita makes a quick decision in an effort to clear Alex's name. Inside Division, Jayden attempts to reveal Alex as the mole but Thom steps in and a shocking accident clears her name.

Alex est mise à l'épreuve. On lui confie une mission qui pourrait changer son statut au sein de la Division : tuer le leader d'une organisation criminelle. Nikita met tout en oeuvre pour saboter cette opération afin d'éviter qu'Alex n'ait à commettre un meurtre. Jaden confie à Thom ses doutes sur la loyauté d'Alex et lui remet une preuve. Malgré tous ses efforts, Nikita ne parvient pas à faire échouer la mission. La cible est finalement abattue, mais par Thom. Nikita se laisse capturer pour sauver Alex. Celle-ci oeuvre pour l'aider à s'évader, mais elle est rapidement appréhendée par Thom, pendant qu'Amanda mène interroge Nikita...

La Divisione sottopone Alex alla prova finale per diventare agente operativo. Nikita teme che Alex non sia in grado di portare a termine la missione e la segue ad ogni passo. Birkhoff scopre la shell nascosta usata da Nikita per comunicare con Alex e informa Michael e Percy.

Alex le cuenta a Nikita la decisión de División de enviarla a su primera misión sobre el terreno. Su trabajo consiste en matar al líder de un sindicato del crimen, pero ella no se siente preparada. En un intento por evitarlo, Nikita decide intervenir, pero el descubrimiento de sus comunicaciones con uno de los reclutas pone en alerta a Birkhoff, Michael y Percy, que le tenderán una trampa sin escapatoria.
