Used to love these historical mini series. This one I only half watched back when it first aired and I wanted to get a chance to rewatch it fully.Finally I am. The cast is a wierd mix of future stars, faded movie actors and 80s TV stars. It looks like the south (from what I've seen so far) is shot on location. The streaming transfer (watching on Hoopla via the public library) is now in widescreen. Looks very good though. Romanticized the south which would never fly today. Enjoying it
