Discuss Caillou

Item: Caillou

Language: de-DE

Type of Problem: Incorrect_content

Extra Details: I've searched the whole Internet and couldn't find any consistent episode order and naming scheme. There are two popular ones:

Many websites (and the few official German dubs that exist) use the TVDB order/naming, e.g.:

The IMDB (and therefore TMDb) order/naming on the other hand is not used very often. And what complicates the whole situation even more is that even Amazon, which should in theory use IMDB as its basis for Prime metadata, has yet another, different ordering system: https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detail/B004CTBG1W

I'm bringing up this discussion because it looks like the different contributors on TMDb haven't agreed on which system to use, hence leading to this mess we currently have with many empty seasons etc.

The order that should be use is the order that have been used for the first broadcast of the series.

But, the problem is to be able to find it.

If we go for the original air order, I'd suggest using the TVDB scheme. Its air dates are not 100% coherent with IMDB's, but at least it's sorted by date and isn't all over the place. IMDB orders it like this: 2003 → 2006 → 1997 → 2010 etc., a real mess. As I said in my original comment, TVDB's is also the one used by most other providers. I couldn't find anything about the US ones, but all the official German DVDs are ordered using TVDB's system: http://www.zeichentrickserien.de/dvd/caillou.htm
