Discuss Babylon 5

Marathon this on Amazon if you have Prime. I just wrapped up Season 5 after starting at Season 1, a few weeks ago. My DVD’s look a little better but the ease of going one episode into the next and also using my IPad made Prime the winner. Getting a steady flow of the characters and story just made it as good if not better than ever before. People had always dogged Season 5 a little but watching it straight through this time I enjoyed it quite a lot and felt it maintained perfect context in the arc. This show is so much more than just the Shadow War. I’m not afaraid to admit it but as a grown Man I had a hard time keeping a dry eye in the last two episodes. Doesnt help when you are Married and actually like your Wife!! LoL. I’m a big Trek TOS fan and enjoy Next Gen but B5 is easily my favorite SciFi TV show made so far. Maybe only surpassed by The Time Tunnel.......just kidding!! B5 is such an enigma where it can have some of the most awkward acting at times and then have the most incredibly poignant scenes with incredible writing about the Human condition. The amount of fortune Cookies or bumper stickers that could be generated by this show! I knew I was heart and soul into it when even Ivanova, who hadn’t been in all of Season 5, at the end emotionally mentions Marcus at the Dinner, I totally squirted a little. The juxtaposition of Sheridan on his “Sunday Drive” and Delenn clutching his Pillow was just beautifully done. This really was a fantastic achievement by Straczynski in not just writing but that he got to make it and finish it. It’s just a damn shame we’ll never get a Blu Ray with corrected and or updated FX.

Or they could just start watching it on Comet TV, which is starting from the beginning, with the 2 hour pilot movie 'The Gathering' October 1. Then on October 2nd, season 1, episode 1 (7 days a week at 9:00 pm, rerun the next day at 11:00 am).
