Holy cow, this was 43 years ago (it was from February 1975). She had Bette Midler, Flip Wilson, & Elton John as guests.
OMG, I feel so old.

I was always a fan of The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour and The Sonny and Cher Show, back when they were on, but forgot all about that this show ever existed - though no doubt watched it, too.

There used to be quite an array of variety shows that aired in primetime back during that era, since beginning, I think, sometime during the '60s.

Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In was one of my faves during my growing-up years. You bet your sweet bippee it was.
Definitely The Smothers Brothers! Fan here!

I even had the Twiggy Sassoon cut in the 60's.
I was born in the early 50's.

I was born at the very start of the '60s, and typically didn't "get" the hidden actual meanings of suggestive jokes (of which there were many) on t.v. by the late '60s, though they were very funny either way, so always enjoyed the comedy and variety shows.

It was the last episode (#13, May 11, 1975) of the first season, before they tied the knot. They married in June of '75 & divorced in 1978.

They reconciled about a month later, then Allman filed for divorce, then he found out she was pregnant and reconciled again. But eventually they divorced.
