Very early into this (streaming on Prime), but so far I'm not so much a fan of the characters as I am the actors. I love Joan Bennett's perpetual, patrician frown and the girl who plays Victoria Winters looks like she wandered in from off the set of Valley of the Dolls. So. Much. Hair.
I love the music (always did) and that every episode opens with the same deadpan read of "My name is Victoria Winters..." Great goofy fun.
Here's some interesting trivia about the actress, Alexandra Moltke (later Isles), who portrayed Victoria Winters.
Namely: "In the late 1970's Isles became the mistress of Danish-British socialite Claus von Bülow who was famously convicted of murdering his wife Sunny von Bülow. Isles testified at von Bülow's trial."
Oh OK. I remember that trial (I am old) and that an actress from DS was a star witness but I didn't know it was her. I wasn't familiar with DS back then.
I love her arch manner of speaking. She reminds me of Barbara Parkins, but with even bigger hair.
The notorious overacting, shaky sets, awkward "What's my next line?" pauses, histrionic dialogue, and cheesy special effects are what make me want to watch the whole series! Someone apparently appropriated that clip as Grayson Hall reacting to quarantine. LOL.

I think probably, for me, Angelique, Maggie, Barnabas, Julia, and Quentin.

Some of Julia's (Grayson Hall's) finest Dark Shadows moments
