How would you rank the seasons of OTH?

For me...

1) Season 9 - For me, I thought this was the best season, and considering this was the final season of the show I think that says a lot. So many series out there get criticized for weak final seasons and series finales. For OTH I don't think that was true at all. Their final season was a fun and exciting ride. I loved all the drama and high stakes plot lines. Seeing Dan come back to redeem himself was my favorite part. They definitely went out with a bang.

2) Season 4 - This was another really exciting season. I liked seeing Dan deal with the guilt of killing Keith as well as Lucas discovering the truth about the school shooting. I also really enjoyed the psycho Derek story line.

3) Season 6 - This was another great drama filled season. Nanny Carrie holding Dan hostage was great. I also really enjoyed Brooke's story line. Sam was definitely one of my favorite one season characters.

4) Season 3 - This season is a bit of a mixed bag. The school shooting episode and the fall out from it was fantastic. However, I thought the stuff leading up to it was a little dull. The only stuff that really interested me before the school shooting was Mouth and Rachel.

5) Season 1 - A really solid start to the series. I liked all the character introductions. What really drew me in at first was the love triangle between Peyton, Lucas and Brooke. Even though it was an ongoing story I think the writers kept the triangle most interesting in this season.

6) Season 5 - Good season. In a way, the writers kind of had to start over this season because of the flash forward. But I still enjoyed most of the story lines. Nanny Carrie and Nathan were fun. I also really loved Dan getting out of prison and saving Jamie. I loved the introduction of Jamie Scott. Jackson Brundage is a talented child actor. He jumped into the show at the start of season 5 and it felt like we always there. He was a great addition to the cast who just fit right in. For me, he's an honorary lifetime OTH cast member.

7) Season 8 - More or less a solid season. The writers seemed to start to figure things out without Lucas and Peyton. My favorite story line was the car accident on the bridge. I think that was one of the most exciting episodes of the show.

8) Season 2 - Not a great season, but it had some good moments. Dan was definitely the shinning star of this season. Him coming back from his heart attack and going after those who he believed wronged him was good TV.

9) Season 7 - Probably the weakest season. Much like season 2 Dan Scott was one of the few bright spots in this season. I liked his new show and how he helped save Nathan's career. I also thought his marriage to Rachel was a good twist. Rachel and Dan were two of my favorites, so I thought it was fun that they ended up together for a short period. What didn't make any sense to me at all was that Dan and Rachel disappear halfway through the season and were not seen again. They were the best part of the season. Losing them definitely let the show drop down in quality for the second part of season 7. I will give the writers a little bit of a break though because they lost two of their lead characters, so they were still trying to figure things out.
