小姑娘翠得了无法医治的眼病，只能住在黑房子里，少年阿齐是她唯一的朋友。在翠的引导下，阿齐也闭上了第二层眼睑，看见了黑暗中的光芒。但寄生在他们眼中的虫却因此加速繁殖起来。闻讯赶来的银古诱杀了从翠的眼中爬出的虫，却又用虫治好了翠的眼睛。用虫的眼睛看着这个世界，翠露出了略微寂寞的笑容。

A girl named Sui has an unusual disease that causes pain in her eyes whenever she sees light. She has to be locked in a pitch black shed that has no light in it. A boy named Biki helps Sui by removing bandages, giving her food, and just talking to her. Biki's mother is worried about him getting the illness, so she tells him not to stay as long as he normally would with Sui. One day while Biki is talking to her, she tells him why she has that illness: There are Mushi in her eyes. Biki continues to take care of her until one night when he is reading by a candle, a strange pain comes to his eyes.

Uma garota chamada Sui tem uma doença incomum que causa dor nos olhos sempre que vê luz. Ela tem que ser trancada em um galpão escuro e sem luz. Um menino chamado Biki ajuda Sui removendo curativos, dando-lhe comida e apenas conversando com ela. A mãe de Biki está preocupada com a possibilidade de ele contrair a doença, então ela diz para ele não ficar tanto tempo como normalmente ficaria com Sui. Um dia, enquanto Biki está conversando com ela, ela conta por que está com aquela doença: há Mushi em seus olhos. Biki continua cuidando dela até que uma noite, quando ele está lendo perto de uma vela, uma dor estranha surge em seus olhos.
