Graduation is just weeks away and Ryan, Seth, Summer and Marissa leave Newport to attend their respective pre-frosh orientations at UC Berkeley and Brown. While dropping the boys off at the airport, Kirsten is surprised to see Theresa and her all-too-familiar-looking baby boy. While visiting Brown, Seth runs into Anna on the quad and they instantly connect. Could this be the end of Summer and Seth? Meanwhile, Kirsten and Sandy attend a hospital benefit where Kirsten vents her frustrations and falls back into an old habit.

La remise des diplômes est proche et la bande décide de quitter Newport afin de découvrir leurs futures universités à Berkeley et Brown. Lorsque Kirsten dépose les garçons à l'aéroport, elle est surprise d'apercevoir Thérésa en compagnie d'un petit garçon ayant un air familier... A Brown, Seth retrouve Anna, serait-ce la fin du couple Seth/Summer ? Kirsten doit également faire face à une de ses vieilles habitudes...

An den College-Orientierungswochenenden fahren einige an die Ostküste, andere bleiben an der Westküste. Ryan und Marissa schauen sich an der Berkeley-Uni um, Summer und Student/Poseur Seth besuchen die Brown-Universität in Providence/Rhode Island.

Seth ha tutte le intenzioni di riconquistare Summer ed entrare alla Brown; così, il giorno della visita al college, vuole assolutamente avere un colloquio con il professore responsabile delle ammissioni; Kirsten in aeroporto vede Teresa e scopre che ha avuto un bambino, vorrebbe dirlo al figlio adottivo Ryan, ma Sandy è riluttante. Anche Marissa e Summer sono in partenza e pare che la prima si sia lasciata alle spalle il periodo difficile appena trascorso, con grande delusione di Volchock. Alla Brown Seth incontra Anna e le chiede aiuto per raggiungere il suo scopo; quando Summer li vede insieme pensa che Seth voglia andare in università con lei e che per questo l'abbia scaricata. Intanto Julie invita Kirsten e Sandy ad una cena che Neil avrà con gli altri medici.

Ryan, Seth, Summer e Marissa deixam Newport para atender as orientações nas faculdades. Ao deixar os garotos no aeroporto, Kirsten se surpreende ao ver Theresa e seu bebê. Seth reencontra Anna e recebe ajuda dela para tentar entrar na Brown. Kirsten e Sandy vão a uma festa onde os problemas dos dois vão a público, fazendo ela ter uma recaída.

Seth hace un esfuerzo de última hora para entrar a Brown. Ryan y Marissa visitan la oficina de orientación de Berkeley. El pleito entre Kirsten y Sandy se hace público.
