Only Jonesy,Spot and cat from DS 9 are "cats" it would be a stretch to call the other feline creatures cats.I don't think a shape shifting creature as a cat and a 6ft feline creature that talks would scare the hell out if me.

What about the idea that Jones was in cahoots with the Alien?

Well it doesn't harm Jonesy in the box when Ripley leaves him when she encounters the xenomorph in the corridors but that what was done leaving a seed at the end that Jonesy might have been infected.

Except there were no face-huggers to do the job then. All the Alien aboard Nostromo could do, was kill.

I think Jonesy was too small for a face hugger unlike the dog/cow in Alien3

That too. Plus, under the "conspiracy theory," Jonesy was helping the Alien reach and kill the other humans. Why eliminate its best ally?

I think you are reading too much into it Knix cats just happen to hunt for mice and rats in the same places where the Alien hides

Those documents have been around for over 50 years, but just now someone is looking at them?

Well, until last year (2018) it was assumed that Isis was played by Victoria Vetri (a.k.a. Angela Dorian).
After she denied this in the article "Interview with Victoria Vetri" in the magazine "Little Shoppe of Horrors #41 (October 2018)", they had to start looking all over again.
It's lucky that, after 50 years, there were still (paper) documents with information on the (uncredited) actors and extras. So often these are lost.
Another source.

Wasn't that info already on IMDB?

It has been corrected on IMDB, Wikipedia, Memory-Alpha since March 2019. Before then it said that Victoria Vetri played Isis.
I corrected it here on TMDB.
