Yes, I did know about Robert Lansing's appearances on those shows, thanks. Last Saturday I saw him on an episode of The Flying Nun." ;-)
And earlier this month I was able to get a DVD set of a series Mr. Lansing did back in 1961 called 87th Precinct. It's based on a long running series of cop novels by Ed McBain. It only ran for one season, but it's terrific.
A thoughtful friend gave me a copy of season one of "Mod Squad" for my birthday - guess who guest stars in Season One, episode six; go on, guess! Aw, you guessed. Robert Lansing plays a photographer with a dead model in his studio; ruh-roh, Raggy! Good thing he has Pete, Linc, and especially Julie on his side!
Okay. I went to see my Orthopedic doctor on Tuesday for a checkup. The X-ray shows that the screws are holding things properly in place (I feel like a construction site). However, he's worried that I'm still having a lot of pain after 3 months (thank diety for pain meds!). I hope that life is going well for you.
I don't know if you read what I posted about an hour ago on this thread, but I was able to get the DVD set for a cop show my favorite actor did in 1961! Ta-dah!
Indeed, I've long been curious 87th Precinct; McBain is a capable writer.
My eldest sister had both hips replaced a number of years ago, first one, then the other, and that rehab was long, slow, painful, and ultimately successful. Her advice would be, Do your rehab. For what it may be worth.
I'm just glad your doctor can verify that you don't have a screw loose. How many of us here can say that?
87th Precinct is a very good show, very well written. Besides Lansing, the cast includes Ron Harper, Norman (Mr. Roper) Fell, and Gregory (Plan 9 From Outer Space) Wolcott.
What's going on with my hip is that I can walk a lot better; I start using a cane instead of a walker today. But it really hurts. I'm doing my physical therapy exercises. Dr. Tam said that if I still have pain 3 months from now, I may need a new hip. BTW, I want to thank you and everyone else on the board for their support and encouragement. It's lovely.
My various maladies are ganging up on me lately, Maria. I can relate. Hang in there, sweetheart. I know from our interactions that you are a strong person. You will be victorious. Glad to hear the screws are holding. All my hopes.
BTW, concerning "Kung Fu: The Legend Continues", there is one ep that stands out entitled "Dragon's Wing" iin which we learn that his character is a bad-ass sniper.

I think she's seen The Equalizer, we've talked before about how he was so greatly able to project quiet menace as Control.
