i thought this might be a fun subject for some Trek fans like myself. Please list your favorite in two areas:
For me, it will always be Montgomery Scott. First of all, he was Scottish which is an automatic bonus in my book. I loved the personality and humor that James Doohan brought to the series, especially the films. During the series itself he had some great moments, especially during the episode Wolf in the Fold. I also admired Mr. Doohan in real life. He was a decorated war veteran, influenced many to become engineers, and was an enthusiastic convention regular. He also despised William Shatner, which means he had wonderful taste.
My favorite series guest star is probably William Windom as Commodore Matt Decker in The Doomsday Machine. Besides being at the heart of one of my favorite TOS episodes, I felt as though he did a remarkable job portraying a man broken by his harrowing first encounter and who barely holds himself together until near the end of the episode. Physically, he resembled a more haggard, less heroic version of Kirk. I felt the scene where he sacrifices himself especially memorable.
P.S.: I decided not to vote for Ricardo Montalban, though his Khan is one of the best characters ever, because he was such an enormous presence either directly or indirectly in the series and movies and that he had an entire film devoted to his character. I felt it a little unfair to other actors that only appeared once.

Sarek and Amanda.
I wish they had done another episode, on Vulcan maybe , with Spock's parents ...I would have loved more insight on Spock's life as a child /youth.

Now it's a tie between Droxine (Spock's love interest) and Vanna (Kirk's wild cat).

Mara is another favourite. Was she the first female klingon who appeared in Star Trek?
