Last night I had Ready Player One and Ad Astra and I watched some HD 1080p upscaled DVD's Like The Shining,The Return Of The King,Star Trek II The Wrath Of Khan,The Girl With The Dragon Tatoo,Barry Lyndon etc.Which X-men did you watch First Class ,Days Of Future Past,Apocalypse or Dark Phoenix?

I watched all 4 x-men films ..one every day.

I like the bond between Erik and Charles even if they are often in discord..but I definitely root for Magneto. I like the black sheep of the "family".

Quicksilver is cool and his slow-motion parts are very entertaining ..idem the music. I wish he had told Magneto he was his son.

I would like to have Raven’s power and I like her as a character. I really hated Charles when he said:

“I heard Hank has found a solution to your cosmetic problem"

He’s a real a$$hole and I would have boxed his ears in.

One of the most powerful scenes for me is when Erik is pleading with Charles on the beach :

Magneto's storyline is tragic… he lost everyone he loved : his mother, his wife and child and in the end even Raven…I feel for him.

Uuhh maybe because he wanted to change the entire Human race into mutants like he did in movie number 1 .His power is not manipulating metals but magnetism he can manipulate magnetic fields which is why he can manipulate metals.But I guess you root for Fassbender because he is the new flavour of the month (tease tease).Hope you are doing fine Sunshine and love to hear from you.

Still doing fine with all the new stuff to explore I am not eager to go out of the house so only when I need to go out for food and the obligatory tasks I don't go out much.I found this Tv app that has access to a big old movies library for free (there are adds but so far not many)featuring interesting stuff by the likes of Chaplin,Buster Keaton,Laurel Hardy ,Bob Hope,Hitchcock,Bella Lugossi and cult classics like the original Silent Nosferatu and Plan 9 From Outer Space etc .

Yeah I thought Nightcrawler was good as well .Fassbender is also in Inglorious Basterds,Band Of Brothers(just like Macavoy ,Tom Hardy and Simon Pegg) ,there are six X-men movies,A Bobby Sands Biopic(hunger I believe it was called),Prometheus,Alien Covenant,Assassin's Creed,The Lights Between the Oceans,Frank ,The Counselor,12 Years A Slave,Eden Lake and 300.

I have seen Prometheus and the sequel Covenant..it’s a bit of a fraud ... the storyline was stretched out too much..so many un answered questions still.

Tarantino I’m not keen on .. he should be in a straight jacket or better still sent to a war zone ..maybe living the really thing he will get over his fixation about blood ..

Anyways I cheated and I found the bar scene in which Fassy is pretending to be a German soldier 😎

I moved onto The Councelor which I just watched ... not bad ..

Javier Bardem I find always creepy if not just plain weird ..he was the later this time .. Penelope had no visible chemistry with Fassbender despite they were suppose to be deeply in love.

I checked out Frank.. the reviews are positive but hiding Fassbender’s face in that ugly mask is a crime.. is the film worth watching?

Chaplin is buried at Vevey Switzerland , two step from Montreux where I was in college at St. George😂.

My papà’ and his favourite cat Boobalee loved apfelstrudel..if I close my eyes I can still see them devour it. Sweet memories 😊

According to my pa , the best he ever had was at a tiny B&B in Austria .. there was a Spa at walking distance and being fully booked , they suggested he lodge at this B&B .. every day for two weeks he had a piece of their home made apfelstrudel and a ginseng coffee.😂

I hope you are doing fine I am doing fine prepared myself for the Saturday evening/midnight movie matinee(tonight Once Upon A Time In Hollywood in Full HD on Netflix and It First Chapter on Blu ray) I prepared for diner and tonight I'll be making sliced spicey marinated pieces of chicken filet with red onion,bean sprouts, white cabage,leeks,chili,red,green and yellow paprika and black beans with herbs and spices(like black pepper,kardemom,cloves of garlic,galanga root,lemongrass,ginger,dried coriander leaves,curry powder,seasalt,chili paste,soy sauce,paprika powder and sweet chili sauce) together with white rice,iceberg lettuce ,a cumcumber,curry/kardemom,garlic raita marinated pork tenderloin and a chicken leg from the oven.

If your father loved apfelstrudel he probably would have loved what I am having with my capuccino toninght because I will be serving that with a piece of apple pie.I was watching old Trek show in full HD on Netflix and having a coupe of white wheat beers. And now the afternoon matinee starts The Fall Of The Roman Empire on upscaled DVD .Have a nice weekend Sunshine and Salute!! 🍻

My mamma was very good at cooking goulash .. when she was young she told me a Gypsy community would camp every Winter on the outskirts of The Hague and she would go and visit and saw how they cooked their pot of goulash on the open fire for days. They were always adding meats etc...

Yes my papa’ loved apple pie 🥧 with cannella and clove... he enjoyed tiramisu and la cassata 🍧too.

The Fall Of The Roman Empire .. is that a series?

No a Movie from 1964 featuring Christopher Plummer,James Mason,Alec Guiness,Stephen Boyd ,Sophia Loren ,Omar Shariff. The movie should seem familiar because a lot of the story was used and even some of the dialogue in Gladiator by Ridley Scott.Plummer plays Commodus, Stephen Boyd is basically Crowe,Loren is Conny Nielsen's character.

I checked out the film .. looks epic , great cast.

Plummer is a favorite of mine ..I loved him when he played an Inca Emperor in “The Royal Hunt of The Sun” all those Christians.... bible in one hand , sword in the other.

Gladiator was a memorable film .. I had eyes only for Joaquin Phoenix .. he wasn’t famous yet ....he was sublime as the murderous / crazy Emperor.
