Turning Point
On 8 April 2009, FC Bayern are already 4-0 down against Barcelona at half-time. There's no sign of the euphoria that had been so massive following the appointment of new coach Jürgen Klinsmann. Death or Gladioli
After some initial problems, the team have internalised coach Louis van Gaal's vision and by 2010 are once again able to compete with the best in Europe, culminating in the final against José Mourinho's Inter Milan. The following season, Bayern's engine starts misfiring again, causing disquiet in the club and the surrounding environment. But a new opportunity emerges for an almost forgotten star striker.
