Die junge Liko verlässt ihr Zuhause Paldea, um in Kanto an der Indigo-Akademie zur Pokémon-Trainerin ausgebildet zu werden. Dort trifft sie auf ihre Mitbewohnerin Ann und erhält das Pokémon Felori als Partner. Nach anfänglichen Schwierigkeiten entwickelt sich eine tiefe Bindung zwischen Liko und Felori. Doch eines Tages wird Liko von einem geheimnisvollen jungen Mann besucht, der ihr Misstrauen durch sein Interesse an ihrem Anhänger weckt.

Liko und Felori entkommen Amethio dank Friedels Eingreifen mit seinem Glurak. Liko wird von einer Attacke fast getroffen, doch ein mysteriöses Pokémon in ihrem Anhänger schützt sie. Sie werden von Friedel und Glurak gerettet und zum Luftschiff der Volttackle-Aeronauten gebracht.

Liko erwacht auf der „Tapferen Oliviana“ und will Felori, die von Entdeckern entführt wurde, suchen. Friedel, der sie bereits sucht, lehnt Likos Plan ab und offenbart, dass ihre Mutter die Volttackle-Aeronauten um Schutz gebeten hat.

Liko ist jetzt ein Mitglied der Volttackle-Aeronauten. Nach einer Notlandung der Tapferen Oliviana verschwindet Krokel und wird von Liko und Felori gesucht. Währenddessen trifft Krokel den jungen Rory, der Pokémon-Trainer werden will.

Rory gelangt heimlich auf das Luftschiff Tapfere Oliviana, um das verschwundene Krokel zu suchen, und bleibt dort trotz der Konfrontation mit den Volttackle-Aeronauten. Nach einer Notlandung zur Reparatur des Luftschiffs und Krokels verzweifelter Suche nach Rory, verbünden sie sich mit den wilden Pokémon der Insel, um die Tapfere Oliviana zu verteidigen und gegen die Entdecker zu kämpfen.

Amethio ist kurz davor, Liko zu schnappen, als Rorys Antiker Pokéball ein schwarzes Rayquaza beschwört, das sie in die Flucht schlägt. Rorys Großvater enthüllt daraufhin die Legende des Pokémon, woraufhin Rory beschließt, mit Unterstützung von Krokel ein Pokémon-Trainer zu werden.

Liko, Felori, Rory und Krokel werden Mitglieder der Volttackle-Aeronauten. Liko fühlt sich schuldig, ihre Freunde in Gefahr gebracht zu haben, und will stärker werden. Sie bitten Friedel um Kampftraining, obwohl sie keine Erfahrung haben. Ihre Fähigkeiten werden getestet, als sie gegeneinander antreten müssen, um echte Pokémon-Trainer zu werden.

Liko versucht sich weiterhin mit Dot anzufreunden, der sich immer mehr von der Gruppe entfernt.

Die Tapfere Oliviana landet in Paldea, während Rory entschlossen ist, das Schwarze Rayquaza zu finden. Liko fühlt sich wehmütig, da ihre Abenteuer mit den Volttackle-Aeronauten enden. Zuhause empfängt ihr Vater Alex sie und Felori warmherzig.

In Bolardin suchen Liko, Rory und Nemila nach Hinweisen zum Schwarzen Rayquaza und treffen dabei auf den Arenaleiter Colzo, der sich als Künstler unzulänglich fühlt. Zusammen machen sie sich auf die Suche nach Sonnflora, um Colzo aufzuheitern. Nach einem Kampf zwischen Rory und Colzo verrät dieser, dass er ein geheimnisvolles Pokémon namens Olithena gesehen hat, dessen Verbindung zum Schwarzen Rayquaza noch unklar ist.

Liko, Rory und Mollie suchen nach Olithena und entdecken einen durch einen Waldbrand verwüsteten Wald. Liko findet ein verletztes Paldea-Felino und gerät in einen Kampf gegen wilde Pokémon. Schließlich treffen sich Liko und Rory am gigantischen Baum, wo sie in einen heftigen Kampf gegen den Baum selbst geraten.

Liko und ihre Freunde setzen alles daran, Olithenas Wald wiederherzustellen. Mit Ludlows Morlord bringen sie Wasser ins ausgetrocknete Land. Da verwandelt sich Likos Anhänger in ein unbekanntes Pokémon. Nachdem sie eine Nachricht von einem geheimnisvollen Mann erhalten haben, besprechen Friedel und Likos Mutter die Situation.

Die Volttackle-Aeronauten können nicht in die Galar-Region fliegen, da das Computersystem der Tapferen Oliviana einen automatischen Scan durchführt. Deshalb machen sie in der Zwischenzeit ein Picknick. Doch als sie zurückkehren, bemerken sie, dass etwas mit dem Luftschiff nicht stimmt und Rory macht sich Sorgen um ein seltsames Voltrel.

Während Friedel und Glurak eine Gruppe von Magneton vertreiben, entwickelt Rory ein Spezialtraining für Voltrel, das Angst vor dem Fliegen hat. Friedel wird von einem Megalon in die Enge getrieben und muss Glurak terakristiallisieren, um es besiegen zu können.

Liko ist verschwunden und Dot bittet ihre Freundin Enigmara um Hilfe bei der Suche. Währenddessen trifft Liko auf den verkleideten Spinel und verliert ihr Gedächtnis. Felori hilft ihr, sich an vergangene Abenteuer zu erinnern. Die Volttackle-Aeronauten machen sich auf die Suche. Als Liko gefunden wird, kehrt ihr Gedächtnis zurück, aber ihr Anhänger ist verschwunden.

Um Likos gestohlenen Anhänger zurückzubekommen, schließt sich Dot mit Kwaks zusammen und wird offiziell zur Trainerin. Gemeinsam mit Liko und Rory machen sie sich auf den Weg zum Hafen von Fermanca City, wo sie auf Spinels Pokémon treffen und in einen Kampf verwickelt werden.

Rory versucht, den Streit zwischen seinem Pokémon Krokel und Voltrel zu schlichten, aber ohne Erfolg. Als er Kapitän Pikachu und Glurak im Freundschaftskampf sieht, hat er eine Idee und bittet Kap, gegen seine beiden Pokémon gleichzeitig zu kämpfen.

Nachdem Liko und Rory beobachtet haben, wie Flugkapitän Pikachu in der Luft schwebt, wollen sie herausfinden, wie das möglich ist. Sie versuchen, Friedel dazu zu bringen, ihnen Informationen zu geben, aber er weigert sich. Die anderen Volttackle-Aeronauten geben ihnen jedoch einige Hinweise und schließlich gibt Friedel erzählt die Geschichte, wie er Flugkapitän Pikachu kennengelernt hat und die Volltackle-Aeronauten gegründet hat.

Die Volttackle-Aeronauten sind in Engine City angekommen und bereiten sich auf ihre Reise zu Likos Großmutter vor. Während einer Pause im Kampf-Café wird Murdock nervös, da er und Michel, der Küchenchef des Cafés, früher zusammen gearbeitet haben, aber nach der Entwicklung von Pokusan nicht mehr miteinander auskamen. Liko schlägt vor, dass Murdock einen Freundschaftskampf gegen Michel macht, um ihre Beziehung zu verbessern.

Liko und Rory treffen auf den Arenaleiter Kabu im Kampf-Café und erhalten von ihm den Rat, weiter zu trainieren, bevor sie gegen das Schwarze Rayquaza kämpfen. Kabu fordert sie zu einem Trainingskampf gegeneinander heraus und schlägt danach einen Multikampf mit der Arenatrainerin Wakaba vor. Der Kampf ist hart umkämpft und fordert von allen Beteiligten vollen Einsatz.

Liko, Rory und Friedel suchen während eines Sturms Schutz in einer Berghütte und finden ein wildes Brimova, das erschöpft zu sein scheint. Liko bringt es auf die Tapfere Oliviana, um mehr über seine Unruhe zu erfahren. Währenddessen wird Liko sich ihrer eigenen Ziele als Pokémon-Trainerin bewusst und beginnt, Brimovas Gefühle zu verstehen.

Liko, Rory und Friedel setzen ihre Suche nach dem Schwarzen Rayquaza in der Galar-Mine fort. Doch sie werden von wilden Pokémon gestört und müssen gegen Amethio, Zirc und Onia sowie gegen ein wütendes Galar-Lavados kämpfen.

Nachdem Liko, Rory und Friedel vor dem wütenden Galar-Lavados in der Galar-Mine geflohen sind, beschließt Liko, seine Gefühle zu verstehen, um es zu besiegen. Mit Hilfe von Olithena gelingt es ihr schließlich, Lavados zu beruhigen und mit ihm zu kommunizieren.

Die Volttackle-Aeronauten beobachten ein geheimnisvolles Pokémon, das früher Likos Anhänger war. Sie machen sich auf den Weg, um Likos Großmutter Diana zu finden, die mehr darüber wissen könnte. Es handelt sich um Terapagos, ein Pokémon, das mit dem Antiken Abenteurer Lucius gereist ist.

Auf der Suche nach Terapagos geraten Liko, Rory, Friedel und Diana in einen Hinterhalt von Amethios Gruppe. Während Friedel Amethio ablenkt, fliehen Liko und Rory. Doch Hagen beansprucht Terapagos für sich und hat Sidian und Coralia zum Schloss gebracht, um Liko und Rory aufzuspüren. Die Volttackle-Aeronauten kommen jedoch rechtzeitig, um die jungen Trainer zu retten.

The Rising Volt Tacklers thought the case was closed after they got their feelings across to the Laplace from the Six Heroes... but then the Black Rayquaza they had been chasing down suddenly appeared high up in the sky! Roy yells a challenge to a battle at it... but then Amethio from the Explorers barges in! Liko and the others are in deep trouble after Rayquaza gets enraged from being attacked... But suddenly Terapagos' body starts shining?!

Liko's grandmother Diana has decided to disembark from the Brave Asagi, and Liko and Roy start working with their companions and Pokémon in secret on a farewell party for her! Meanwhile, the battle against the Black Rayquaza has made Amethio fully realize his own inadequacies. Aiming high, he approaches Hamber with a certain request, but...

The Rising Volt Tacklers have finally run out of operating funds... so Friede and Cap decide to accept a request to search for a lost Anokusa in order to make some money! Liko is working on a presentation about "her ideal bond" for class and decides to help search for the Anokusa with Roy so she can observe Friede and Cap in action, however...?!

During a livestream, a listener asks Gurumin for help, explaining that there's a tag battle tournament coming up, but her partner Perfuton refuses to team up with anyone. Gurumin asks Liko, Roy and Kuwassu for help. It appears the Perfuton is actually in love...?

The Rising Volt Tacklers answer a request from an archeologist acquaintance of Friede's to move some rocks at an archeological dig and head for the dig site. However, they have difficulties getting started with the work, as ferocious Waruvile and Waruvial seem to be interfering. Liko, Roy and Friede set off to investigate inside the ruins to get to the bottom of this.

Molly is performing a medical checkup on the Pokémon while the Brave Asagi is docked after a storm, but as Liko is taking Mibrim there for its checkup, Mibrim senses someone. Believe it or not, it turns out to be a single Wakkanezumi that has gotten onto the ship. Wakkanezumi normally operate in pairs, so it's strange for one to be alone like this. Maybe something serious has happened?!

Liko, Roy and Dot are shopping in Tetsuron Town, a town famous for its industrial products, when Dot gets separated from the other two. While going around on her own, Dot encounters a Kanuchan, a Pokémon said to pound iron scraps together to make a hammer. And it seems the Kanuchan is interested in a certain something Dot got......?

Liko and Nyahoja are engaged in battle practice with Roy and Hogator... or at least that was the idea, but then Nyahoja accidentally ends up injuring Liko! Liko ensures Nyahoja it's not to blame for what happened, but it seems like Nyahoja still feels conflicted. It ultimately ends up running away from the Brave Asagi, heading for the breeding house where it was born and raised?!

Dot's mother Blanca visits the Brave Asagi. It appears she's there to pick up Dot, who's only been on the ship on a trial basis... Liko and Roy want to make Dot stay, so they decide to ask her how she truly feels about all of this. It's time to reveal the never-before-told story of how Dot joined the Rising Volt Tacklers!

The Rising Volt Tacklers are visiting a beach in the Paldea region. Liko and Roy are having a great time playing with the local sea Pokémon, but trouble suddenly arises when Hogator gets washed out to sea! The day ends up getting saved by Irukaman, the Hero of the Sea! Roy is amazed at how cool Irukaman is... but just then, someone is lurking nearby, planning to catch Irukaman's supposedly never-before-seen transformation scene on camera...?

Only 30 boxes of the famous treat "Sea Digdaman" are sold every day, and you have to stand in line for them too. However, as a thank you for helping the store manager, Liko and Roy are given some even without having to stand in line. A certain person from the Explorers was standing in line for the treats as well, though... and as they're on their way back to the Brave Asagi, Roy notices a letter of challenge that has been stuck to Hogator's back...?!

The words Sango from the Explorers passed on were "summon Rayquaza". Friede uses this clue to locate the island where the Explorers' hideout is located. Liko, Roy, Friede and Randou head to this island, but are met with a trap set by Spinel! Will Liko and the others be able to stop the Explorers' Plan for Capturing Rayquaza?

The Explorers plan to get Rayquaza is in full force and Liko, Roy and Dot are getting overwhelmed, especially as the Brave Olivine gets damage. It's time for a battle against Rayquaza where they throw everything they have at it in order to calm it down. All the encounters and adventures since they set off have led to this point. Will they be able to protect Rayquaza from the Explorers and stop a rampage?

While the Brave Asagi is being repaired, Liko, Roy and Dot have gone to the Orange Academy in order to learn about the Terastal phenomenon. While there, they meet Director Clavell, as well as Top Champion Omodaka and the Paldean Elite Four and learn about their coming trials to learn how to Terastallize while participating in the Orange Academy's school life. How will their first day go?

Liko, Roy and Dot have gone to visit Kaede, the Gym Leader of Cercle Town, for Liko's Terastal training assessment test. They make it to her shop "Patisserie Mukuroji" without any issues, but then Sango from the Explorers barges in and the situation somehow turns into a confectionery cooking competition......?! How will Liko and Nyarote's Terastal training go?

Roy's opponent for his Terastal training assessment test is Colza! Roy is eager to battle him, but Colza has to postpone the training due to being busy preparing the art festival that's going to be held in Bowl Town. Just then, Nemo happens to pass by and asks Roy for a battle, which he agrees to. But when Colza watches their battle, it seems he has some thoughts about Roy's battle style...?

Now that Liko and Roy have taken their assessment test, the last one in line is Dot, whose tester Gym Leader Nanjamo tells her the assessment test will be streamed live on Donnamonja TV. Dot battles Roy as a rehearsal for the stream, but is so nervous about the cameras she's unable to work well with Kuwassu...?!

Liko, Roy and Dot are observing and gathering information on wild Pokémon in order to find a subject to write a report on. Dot tells Liko about a mysterious phenomenon called the "Flower Pillar" that will reportedly bring happiness to those who see it, and Liko decides to search for it with Nyarote to write a report on it. But for some reason, Nyarote is currently in a rather bad mood...?!

As Liko, Roy and Dot continue observing wild Pokémon for their report, Kaiden gets frustrated with its inability to fly properly in strong wind to the point of getting into a fight with Hogator. That night, it secretly sneaks out of the tent to practice flying by itself, but when Roy and Hogator notices it's gone, they go searching for it. However, unnoticed by them all, a shadow draws near...

Liko, Roy and Dot go into a forest to search for something called "the unworldly" that a mysterious person told Roy about. As they cautiously head through the forest, they meet three people that look just like them?! Apparently these three Trainers have also encountered "the unworldly"... But just what IS "the unworldly"?

Having completed their tests, Liko and the others return to Orange Academy. Meanwhile, Friede pursues the mystery of Terapagos.
