So you have here strongest ever recorded earthquake in Japan with tsunami killing 20 000 people, but these guys at Nuclear power plant just won't do the right thing saving their own ass instead sacrificing to save the whole country. Obvious solutions are used only in the last episode when even the dumb viewer is calling for them already few episodes earlier. If this was supposed to show some heroism it shown exactly the opposite - cowardice of NPP staff and their sheer incompetence handling this.
Also how the heck show completely ommit to mention thousands of people dying all around, which could explain the lack of available resources and maybe not proper focus by the gov to this?
Btw. the score is great on par with Chernobyl, but seems not available yet, let me know when it will be available. Acting was wooden (but I guess realistic JP emotions), CGI is cheap (models would be better).
And why was the last episode with monologues written by Japanese gov/TEPCO defense lawyer? Would they ban the show if it was shown them for what they are? What's up with US propaganda in the last episode, while completely ignoring the fact giraffe saving the day was provided by Chinese company.
First 5-6 episodes are great, not far from Chernobyl, then comes slower filler 7th episode only to recover with the last 8 episode, which has dumb monologues moments and seem a bit rushed, they should rather made it 7 episodes, cut a bit filler, holding phone/staring at nothing scenes for even better pace.
8/10

I had similar thoughts (not about propaganda, but about the phone staring), but then I thought maybe it plays better/more authentic when viewed in the original language/culture? As an US viewer I found myself saying,"Come on! Just answer the question!" It didn't help that the dub used the most clichéd lines, so much so that I could predict (cynically) the responses. In the end though, it brought to light a real disaster in our time to which many of us haven't given much thought. 8/10 for me too.

I didn't even know there is dub available, I never watch dubs, they are abomination and disrespectful to actors and director, their only reason for existence should be for small kids.

Unfortunately, if you're not a native speaker (of whatever content you are watching), then you are relegated to subtitles or dubs. I would love to watch all film in their original language...if only I spoke every language in the world. BTW, the dubs in this series followed the subtitles almost exactly, and "reading" an entire film--which I tend to do when watching with them all no matter the language spoken--causes me to miss the visual representation of the film. That to could be considered an "abomination and disrespectful to actors and director." :)

FWIW, I did switch back to the original language several times, especially when I wanted to replay/rewatch key scenes, but that too could be considered the same. ;)
