The ONLY info I can find is an article about an Amazon Prime release date of April 19, 2024. I cannot find it on that service, I searched for The Fortress, Festning Norge, tv series, etc.. The only thing that came up was an old Bruce Willis movie.
I checked one of the production companies, Viaplay, which is also a streaming service of Nordic dramas, etc. It can be accessed through Prime as an add-on (also, Roku, XFinity. That's probably what they meant by being released on Prime? Here's the link for them:
IMDb shows that it was released (online) on April 19, in Norway & Germany.
Yeah, it's (still, at the moment) available on the German public broadcast online Mediathek here: https://www.ardmediathek.de/serie/the-fortress/staffel-1/Y3JpZDovL2Rhc2Vyc3RlLmRlL3RoZS1mb3J0cmVzcw/1 , both in German and the original Norwegian. Slated to be removed from online view in April 2025 (the default contract stipulations are that videos should be available online for a year past the original broadcast date). You might be able to watch it from Greece as well (if you can understand either German or Norwegian); I don't think they're doing any geoblocking.

Thank you very much for the reply and information I can visit the site online but there seems to be some sort of girl blocking as I only get an advertising for a video. Can you please tell me if on this site that English subtitles?
I'm very curious on why no other streaming service has picked up on this show yet I mean it's over 5 years now that it has aired no Netflix no Disney no nothing and it has so many good reviews that I'm very keen to watch it.
If only the online streaming had English subtitles then I can do something about it.

Oh, my bad, I didn't know that, I thought they're not doing that.

No. The ARD Mediathek never does English subtitles, only German ones. Even here where they have the original Norwegian audio track, they don't even do Norwegian subtitles.

Cool! All that history. But I suppose since you live there it's just a bunch of dusty old ruins?

And it was originally broadcast on German TV in April 2024: https://www.daserste.de/unterhaltung/film/filme-im-ersten/sendung/the-fortress-folge-1-100.html
