Rick and AJ receive a letter in the mail and when it arrives at the office it's 23 years after it was sent, but contains a clue to the murder of the letter writer, who died the day after he mailed it.

A clothing design house, featuring a top teen model, hires the Simons to protect its new fall line from being stolen by a rival firm.

A mild mannered accountant hires Rick and AJ to teach him how to vanish. He tells them that he wants to evade a demanding wife, but maybe he has another reason.

When hoods try to steal the family journal, Rick and AJ are prompted to go to Boston (with cousin Elizabeth) and trace the family tree, where they learn about pairs of Simon brothers down through the ages. Downtown plans to propose to Temple, but they disagree about an arrest. Downtown thinks the arrested man is a criminal and Temple thinks he is the victim of a plot to evict him from his home.

Both of the Simon brothers are amazed of the architect they are protecting, when she hires them.
