I think the reason is MAL often has the premier date wrong by a day due to time zones. https://www.crunchyroll.com/simulcastcalendar Here you can plainly see it airs on Tuesdays and the days listed on TMDB are Wednesdays.

As visible on the official page, this anime had its first episode broadcasted in Japan on Tokyo MX on January 4 at 22:30. So, the correct date is January 4.
We always list the dates based on the date/time in the original country of the series, which generally means for anime based on the date/time in Japan.

Then you have the wrong rules, it should be done where it airs first. 98% of other anime are correct in this matter.
Why is this season screwed up. Last season was perfect. Now notifications are 24h or now a week out of date. You need to move to zulu time so the air date changes to what time zone you are in. It's silly watching a show and then getting a notification for it a day or week later. Time zones should not be causing this problem.

It seems that you don't knopw what you want.
The date will be correct for you if the date is the same in your country than in Japan. Otherwise, YOU need to take the timezones in consideration.
