I don't know how it was originally released, I really don't think it's a serial-serial (if that's what you're asking).

This is a series - 39 episodes, 1 season. It's locked and I can't add episodes. Please unlock this entry so i can update it.

Nothing is locked.
The procedure to add a season to an ended series is listed here under the heading "I want to add a missing season to a TV entry, but there is no "Add New Season" button!".
