Archie is invited to the bachelor party, but declines the invitation, and ends up staying at the hotel, where the bachelor party is held (which he doesn't know). Archie calls the police because the party is too loud. Edith stays for the bridal shower. After David and Walter return from the bachelor party, David and Carol fight over their differences in opinion regarding women's roles. The wedding is off, much to Maude's dismay.
