The writers had Mike state that he believed the Holy Bible had historical accuracy but no spiritual accuracy. Although the Bible does have tons of historical accuracy ( as authentic period coins of Pontius Pliate testify to among many other items) there is a far, far, far greater scientific accuracy to the Good Book as well.
