Discuss Twin Peaks

For the first few episodes it was a cool gag but it is getting way too stretched out now. First off, I can't get over the fact that people do not realize there is something seriously wrong with this guy. It's fkn ridiculous already. The man can barely speak and doesn't know to walk out of the elevator and everyone is just like like, "Oh Dougie! You so silly!". Seriously? Nobody acts like that. I could possibly buy him acting like this for a day or so and people just letting it slide but now it is getting to be a bit much. I am starting to not like the show and the original tried my patience at times (especially in the second season) so I am not ready to give up on the show and say it is sh!t but it is definitely starting to lose it's luster. At least the other elements of the show are still intriguing.

Did it rise up to heaven or did it go into the electric wire?

Why? What would that have meant? They showed it disappearing up into the blue sky.

What is up with that electric/utility pole? I remember it was the same numbered pole from season 1? in the trailer park where they were always showing close-up shots of it with electrical sounds, and the end logo of Lynch and Frost names were electric wires and electrical sounds. They also showed ( I think it was episode 5 or 6) a close-up of the traffic light with the same electrical sounds.

He's a dirty cop. I love how Lynch always touches upon the duality of man.

Dirty how? Is he involved in illegal doings? or you mean his nasty bullying attitude? He makes me want to stab him with the midgets ice pick.

Hehe, Dougie "Mr. Jackpots" Jones is this Millennium's Chauncey Gardiner. He doesn't do or say much but he possesses a certain quiet genius. At least the casino lady and his boss recognize this.

So maybe it could mean EVIL COOP/BOB is either listening in or else he's FEEDING OFF of the PAIN and SUFFERING that the mother's going through over the death of her son?

Hmm, it's a stretch. How the heck would Evil Coop have any idea that incident was occurring?

Since the truck driver is also on some kind of DRUGS, perhaps the DRUGS could also be still another way that EVIL COOP/BOB is able to TRACK someone?

To avoid confusion the TRUCK DRIVER you are referring to is RICHARD HORNE who we still do not know what his direct relation is.

Wonder if the STUFF that DOUGIE pukes up could also be used to MAKE DRUGS?

Here is my theory about the puke (garmonbozia). Garmonbozia can only be absorbed by the evil entities that deal with it. When Coop is making his way back to our world, he, evil Coop, and Dougie are all sharing the place of existence in our world in that short time when the switch is supposed to occur. Normally what is supposed to happen is Good Coop comes over to our world and evil Coop goes back to Black Lodge. But since evil Coop came up with the manufactured vehicle (Dougie) plan, the transaction gets delayed and in that split moment all three are sharing elements of each other in OUR world where garmonbozia is extremely foul. So evil Coop shares a bit of good Coop and this is why he suddenly cannot hold down the foul stuff.

I heard a siren for sure.

Yeah I went back and it is very faint but it is there.

I agree that the Dougie thing is starting to get tired but I'm still entertained by it. I think everyone's reaction to Dougie/Cooper is explainable though.

Dougie/Cooper is seeing lights that are guiding him to slot machines, the face of a liar, and answers in case files. Something is aiding him, so couldn't it be affecting people around him? Everyone is helping him for some reason and it's really abnormal. The hooker gives him a ride (a car ride). The casino gives him a limo even though someone who won that much MUST be cheating. The cop/security guard takes him home to his house with a red door. What cop has the time to take someone without ID to his house with a red door? "You've been loitering for at least a half hour, let me drive you home," said no cop ever.

I'm gonna assume I'm wrong but I have the rest of the season to pretend I'm write. But I'm never wrong and my first post here is flawless.

I've now listened to it 10 times. No siren. There's scene music, but no siren.

This makes perfect sense.

So if that's the case, then how would they be able to get the 2 HALFS of him back into a WHOLE again?

Did he though? Cole says to Albert, "Something is VERY wrong. He didn't greet me correctly if you catch my meaning."

He was taking a buy off from Horne. Remember he hands him the pack of cigarettes stuffed with hundred dollar bills.

Maybe people are helping him for an abnormal reason but I just wish you would post an example that backs that statement. What you posted does not. Here goes:

The hooker gives him a ride (a car ride).

After seeing the picture the bookie goons give to Janey-e it is pretty obvious that Dougie and Jade had a more than casual relationship. He is obviously a repeat customer and not someone she barely knows. The guy loses his keys and they are in a nasty neighborhood. Of course she is going to give him a ride home. How is this abnormal?

The casino gives him a limo even though someone who won that much MUST be cheating.

The casino has absolutely no proof at all that he is cheating. Believe me, if they did they would have had him arrested. It is common practice to fluff up jackpot winners with favors such as a limo ride home to entice them to come back and lose the winnings back to them. Nothing other worldly going on here.

The cop/security guard takes him home to his house with a red door. What cop has the time to take someone without ID to his house with a red door? "You've been loitering for at least a half hour, let me drive you home," said no cop ever.

I find it curious that FINALLY someone acts normal towards Dougie and you blow it off with someone silly generalization that all cops are jerks. The cop actually realizes there is something wrong with Dougie after he gives him a stern warning and yet he is still there staring at the statue like a brainless idiot. His first implication is that Dougie must be on drugs or drunk and after seeing he clearly is not he then begins to treat him like a dementia patient that has wandered off from his home. Far fetched that he actually took him home? Maybe, but not out of the realm of possibility. I have actually met cops that would do this.

Yeah, my CC says "sirens wailing distantly" but they've been wrong before. Anywho, it doesn't change the fact that in real life a kid hit that hard woulda been splattered like a mosquito and everyone would have known that he was dead so there really is no urgency to call for help. Lynch spared us the gruesome scene and did not make it realistic for courtesy purposes.
