I thought it should have been a 2 hour finale. After the aftermath of the explosion and catching the killer, they should have had a second hour a year or so in the future showing how everything turned out for everyone. Angela and Hodgins with their new baby, the Jeffersonian rebuilt, Cam and Aristoo's married life with their adopted kids and Aubrey and Karen together and married.
They should also have found a cure for Hodgin's paralysis before the series ended. A future epilogue would also have been a good time to show that he had been cured.
I thought it was quite 'meh' aswell, also where were the other interns? the cuba one, the gloomy one, the one that looks like hodgkins ? the one that dated cams daughter?

Yeah, shows get craptastic finales nowadays. It's sad. Bones went on too long.
Other than a couple of nods to the future (Cam's boys, Aubrey & Karen), it didn't feel like a series finale. What I did like, though, were the few moments in the last ten minutes where we saw mementos from the past (Cam's salt shaker, Vincent's photo, Hodgins' rubber bands...), and I'm glad that they were able to sneak Sweets in via his book jacket.
Meh, only good thing about the entire season was the original theme came back for the final 2 eps. I'm glad it's been put out its misery, been on a major downward slope ever since s5 or 6.

I agree it was time. I just think it was overly rushed. A two hour finale or one more week could have done a much better job tying it up.
It seemed like they left a couple of plot points dangling. They mention Angela's pregnancy and the possible of the baby having LCA but we never hear anything more about it. Also, there was Michelle interviewing for Quantico and nothing more being heard about that either.
I agree they should have seen more about the other interns though Fisher sort of had a sendoff in that episode from the previous season, "The Secret in the Service."

I agree with everything you said but the part about Hodgins paralysis because I like that they did not cure him and that he adapted to it. My brother was paralyzed in 1989 and sometimes there isn't a happy ending just an improvise, adapt and overcome.

Yeah, I wondered about the other interns, too.

It was good, but it wasn't different than any other season finale. It didn't feel like a series finale to me....
