Of course it was cancelled too early and deserved 3 to 5 seasons...
But at least it opened the doors for GOT :)

Totally agree, I'd of loved to of seen it go right up to the reign of mad bad Nero, featuring the offsping of Lucius Vorenus & Titus Pullo.

I came late to this series but I did enjoy it. OK so it wasn't entirely historically accurate but I watched it for entertainment, not a history lesson!!. I liked the bromance between the two leads, and James Purefoy, as ever was superb. My only gripe in an otherwise well cast series was the actress who played Cleopatra. She was completely miscast. The thought of two powerful men being captivated by a charmless , charisma free, child woman more suited to Coronation Street sat ill with me. I agree with NotoriousRio about a continuation of the story. (not sure of my facts here - but wouldn't that be a reimagining of "I Claudius"?)

Yeah, though I doubt Rome's spin on it would be similar to the great works by Robert Graves.
I'd dearly love to see an updated film or TV show of I, Claudius and its sequel.
And youre right about Cleo, she was a let down and wasnt much of focus.

This show has all the potential for a comeback. They really need to do it.
