despite the poor fx this show is very engaging.

More than engaging it's brilliant!
I've been a fan for 40 years almost. An amazing lead character, that's Avon I'm talking about, Blake is okay too, a superb villainess in Servalan and cohort Travis.
An incredible climax at the end of series 2 and of course the never to be forgotten end. Class.

It's an excellent show.
It's being repeated here in the UK and I'm looking forward to re-watching the whole series.
