Discuss The Munsters

It painted itself into a corner. There were too many things going on unexplained. In one episode it was established Eddie slept in a kitchen cabinet. Another ep we see his bedroom. The family is held hostage and Grandpa is playing cards with some unseen force of some kind. I am sure Al Lewis himself could not have explained who or what Grandpa was playing the game with. How did Herman have a brother? Where was the brother when Dr. Frankenstein's descendant later phoned Herman?

Another point. It is fairly easy to tell why Pat Priest was not in 'Munster Go Home'. She was too old to still be the 20(?) year old. In one ep Marilyn and Lily open a beauty parlor and Marilyn puts on this beautician's outfit. Marilyn was still very beautiful but she looked 8 or 10 years older in the outfit. She was replaced in MGH by Debbie Watson who was many years younger. Watson looked so beautiful and although I often thought of Watson as a standard for a beautiful woman for decades when I saw an extra-crystal clear version of the movie on Svenghoolie I noticed she was even more beautiful than I even thought.

Grandpa plays checkers with one of the ghosts that frequent the Munster home.

Sometimes grandpa also plays checkers with deadbeats he digs up on his walks through the cemetery.
