As per our rules, we don't want to match gerneral streaming anf blu-ray version, but the original broadcast.

Splitting also applies to the original broadcast which are considered to be two episodes instead of one. Please see what we did in TMDB for Season 1 and 2, we should be consistent for the rest of the seasons.

These snippets from the day of the original broadcast mention one single episode. In this archive of the official episode list, it is considered as "this special one-hour episode".

We don't search the consistency between seasons, but the consistency with the original broadcast.

what is the source of the "originally broadcasted order"? Because tvdb has it different and has 24 episodes and this is consistent with rest of the seasons.

We don't have the same rules as TVDB.

As indicated here, they split the double-length episodes in 2 parts if they were produced in 2 parts (have 2 production codes or different writers). This is not the case on our site.
